OUR LOVEAt Saint John Neumann this is not just a song, but the way we try to live our Parish Life . . . . "We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord . . . ."We at Saint John Neumann are a community of followers of Jesus Christ. We believe in caring for others and are open and welcoming to all who want to grow together within this community. Our adult formation opportunities include a monthly Church supper and bi-monthly get-togethers where all can grow more fully in their faith in God. "And we pray that all unity may one day be restored . . . ."The Saint John Neumann faith community is a member of the Cooperating Congregations of Waukesha County and have a "Parners in Christ" Covenant with the faith community of Christ the Servant Lutheran Church. Truly Jesus Christ intended us to be One in Following in his footsteps and sharing our journey through life. "We will walk with each other, we will walk hand in hand . . . ."We at Saint John Neumann through our Worship Committee and Many Liturgical Ministries encourage a sense of Community and Solidarity. Worshipping and working together in the Saint John Neumann community environment provides a sense of closeness and belonging. "And together we'll spread the news that God is in our land . . . ."At Saint John Neumann we believe that God acts through our community in the form of our Human Concerns, Outreach, and Mission Committees. These activities show in a very demonstrable way to others how God is truly active through the people at Saint John Neumann. "We will work with each other, we will work side by side . . . ."Service groups are an important and vital part of the Saint John Neumann faith community. THere are many varied opportunities for each member to apply the talents they have been given by God. Sharing those talents in Building and Grounds, Maintenance, Gardening, Cleaning, and many other works of Love builds the community we all strive and yearn for. "And we'll guard each one's dignity and save each one's pride . . . ."At Saint John Neumann we believe that life is sacred from "womb to tomb" and this is pursued through our Respect Life Committee. We also reach out to the poor and disenfranchised through our Outreach Committee, which is dedicated to issues of Justice, Education, Empowerment and Need. Our hearts, our prayers, and our treasure are also offered to our sister faith communities in Milwaukee, Kentucky, and Mexico so they can feel the sense of personal dignity that should be paret of the worldwide faith community. "All praise to the Father from whom all things come, and all praise to Christ Jesus his only Son, and all praise to the Spirit who makes us one . . . ."As God is One in Three Persons, Saint John Neumann is one in our sharing with each other of the celebration of the Mass, the focal point of our faith and our community; we are one in our commitment to each other, our community, and the world we live in; we are one in our abiding faith in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. "Yes, they'll know we ( at Saint John Neumann ) are Christians by our LOVE . . . .They'll know we are Christians by our LOVE."
